There's a dreamy quality to Navy Gangs new single “Somewhere” that highlights a previously only hinted at side of band leader Matthew Tillwick's emotive songwriting.

Since the bands 2016 debut, they've carved out their own space in the New York DIY scene with a song-forward approach to fuzzed out guitar rock. After dropping out of highschool in their hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, the group took up jobs at the local zoo, eventually saving up enough money for one-way tickets to NYC. They haven't looked back since.

Riding the momentum of their Delicate Steve produced EP, the group released Poach in 2018 to critical acclaim and festival appearances alongside Alex G and The Garden. "Somewhere" comes as the dust is settling from a whirlwind four years of basements, bars, and stages around the country, and appropriately sees Tillwick slowing down and taking stock..
