GUTTER SPARROW
Gutter Sparrow is the songwriting pseudonym of John Mosloskie, who's tender folk sounds effortless in it's execution. On his sophomore album, The Waker Dreams, Mosloskie perfectly captures the stark beauty of vast American landscapes, where negative space and grand, psychical mass exist in harmony, channeling Red House Painters in it's melancholic beauty.
Born in New Jersey, John Mosloskie found his musical footing in New York as a member of the noisey, shoegaze embued outfit Holler Wild Rose. After the bands dissolution in 2010, he toured as a member of numerous other outfits, before establishing himself as Gutter Sparrow in 2017. He's since relocated abroad to Rome, where he continues to write, and returns to the States to record.
